EasyR: Simple statistics with explanation

EasyR statistical data processing software

 

A graphical and user-friendly extension over the freely available statistical programming language R. The result is a program different from the standard statistical programs that can do "everything". Individual EasyR modules will offer only the basic and most used statistical analyses for a specific user group. The aim is to make the program as easy to use as possible.

There is a basic module, a kind of chassis for the whole system. It includes the conversion and control of data from Excel (where there are no variable types) to the RDS data type format of R or to the SAV format of the IBM SPSS commercial statistical package. It can filter data, split the file by variable values (split in SPSS), and easily "compile" and export output reports. It includes basic statistical analysis: basic statistics, hypothesis testing, correlation (analysis of the relationship between two continuous variables (correlation), covariance, linear correlation, Spearman's coefficient of monotonic correlation, Kendall's coefficient of monotonic correlation).

The available statistical analyses will find application especially for Medical Biostatistics. The basic module expands on regression (linear regression model of a normally distributed random variable, its confidence regions - interval estimates (graphs, confidence band for the regression line), and verification of the assumptions of the linear regression model) and survival analysis (Kaplan-Meyer estimation and Logrank test: compares survival S(t) in two groups).

Ease of use, a sophisticated data import system and the ability to export results to Excel, and clear output reports with statistical test results, along with many sophisticated language mutations, are among the main competitive advantages of the program.
